Default 799 head valve job/rebuild

so I dropped a set of 799 heads off at the machine shop to get checked out today. These are going on a 5.3 bored to 3.903 build. If the head come back ok to use I'm wondering about valves to use. I was eyeing Manley pro flow valves 2.02/1.57. opinions? Also I need to pick some valve springs. This kit was recommended for the cam I've been eyeing but I may go with one will a little less lift so I hope these will still be ok to use.

Manley makes very nice valves; be sure to have the shop blend the bowls in after cutting the seats for the larger valves. Else you’re just putting a larger “plate” in the way of flow. Also Lunati. And BTR have great spring kits w/seals, locaters, retainers, and locks.

So the machine shop said it'd be $140 to Mill the heads, $350 for the valve job including opening up the valve seats and $350 to port them. Would I be better off just skipping the port job and just getting the valve job? With parts I'm loooking at spending around $1300 total.

Most of the power will be from the valve job so the porting probably wouldn't be worth it.

Seems kinda high. Most shops around me charge 75-100 to mill and 200-250 for a valve job. I'd shop around if you have the option to. Might be able to save enough to make the port job affordable
