I'm rebuilding my motor in my 12 grandsport. Keeping the drysump and thinking of using a OEM ls7 crank along with forged rods and pistons. Has anyone done it with the grandsport ls3? Anything I need to know? I think it should be pretty straight forward.

It will work, Just be ready to add a LOT of heavy metal when balancing. The LS7 crank was built for a 16XX bob. You will likely have a 1780-1820 bob. Its going to be an expensive balance.
Manley makes a crank as well, they have a little more weight to them but generally around 1700 so will still take some weight.

Manley PN 192658, I can get you one for $899.99. The titanium rods will make the Bob much better but be prepared to spend a few hours setting side clearance on them. They have a major issue with being too tight and expanding causing them to come apart, They are a tough rod and take a good bit of time to make right. It is a great option and I am not trying to talk you out of it just know before you go.
