Default L96 build

So I just picked up another 6.0.........Ive built 2 lm7''s and a 370" 11:1 ls3 headed lq9...all gen 3s...the new one is a l96, my question is what compression do you think this motor will yield if I have the the heads milled down to 64cc and then keep the stock flat tops with the factory valve reliefs.....with that being said what cam would you guys run....it will go in a 74 nova with th350 and 3000 stall on 3.23s........working on that third pedal budget.....still thinking of what to say to my wife in 5 days when that pallet gets here.....any input appreciated thx....

On a SWAG, I'd say right around 11.3 to 11.5:1.

The Summit Pro LS Stage 3 cam SUM-8710 on a slightly used, but otherwise stock LS3 heads and .047 piston to head net .081 intake and .103 exhaust clearance. True flat top piston and valve drop was .128 in. on the intake. If you took the heads down .020 to get to .061/.083, it would put the chamber around 68cc. That would put you at 10.9:1 if you didn't flycut and mill further. A slightly better option would be a .040 head gasket and skimming the heads about .005 to max out compression.

Note the valve relief on the VVT engine is on the exhaust side. Some VVT pistons are dished and that seems to help at first glance, but an intake valve relief would enter the outer ring (outside the dish) to get proper radial clearance.
