Default PISTON RING GAP for future boost On LY6 Bored to 4.065

Hey guys, so my last question before final assembly...I am currently building my engine and eventually, in the next 2 years I wanna LSA Supercharge it, but for now I wanna run a Texas Speed Stage 2 LS3 Cam, as I Am using LS3 heads on my cast iron 6.2. I want to gap for future Boost if thats okay. I was thinking the Top ring .022 and the Second ring .024. Does that sound ok for mile stock LSA boost levels? Also, I dont want to have blow by issues with .022 and .024 gap....will I be fine running it that way ? Any negatives? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh and don't forget to over bore .001 to .003 for nitrous and supercharge application. REAL WORLD I set my 418 up for a 150 shot so I new It would be a while before I ever did so I did not over bore and went with .025 on the top ring. I may have lost 10 or 15 hp but I was always happy with it running in the 10's with no issues With a 4.1 stroke and a .030 overboard. No piston noise, no blow by.

I have my rings gaped at .025 on my LQ4. I have been running it N/A for 2 years now and do not have any noticeable blow by or issues. I swear, one of these days I'll get my turbo on. LOL

.028” primary and .022” secondary for boost on that bore size. Remember that heat tightens them up considerably. Which boost adds a bunch of heat We’re only checking and setting them at room temp. FWIW a factory GM LS3 (hand assembled from a stick GS Vette) comes .024” primary and .014” secondary
