Default 454 using LS2/LS3/LS9

Has anyone built a 454ci LS using an LS/LS3/LS9 block? Specifically with a 4.185 bore?

I have one that ERL did a few years back with an LS2 with 4.185 bore. Today I think Texas Speed offers a set up with the 4.185 bore. If you are going NA, stick with like an LS3 block for cost purposes as it has some upgrades over the LS2. The LS7 and LS9 are nice also but more expensive as a starting point. I think also the LS9 has 12 mm head studs. The 5.3 block is good for forced induction however it is not needed for an NA set up and you loose some power as they do not have the bay-to-bay breathing windows in the lower part of the block. The forced guy does not care as they are doing it for strength with the 5.3 block.

I have sleeved many (5.3, LS2, LS3) blocks going to 454" with Darton sleeves and several built to 468" with 4.25" stroke. Not a problem with the correct pistons.

Thanks all. Not sure the direction I'm going, but it's cool that big cubes in standard bore/stroke sizes are not a problem.
