Won't leave you hanging......

No, cheap cast iron sleeves.

My ERL brochure that came with my ERL 416 short block lists 550hp - 650 hp for a reliable LS aluminum block build.

Many push more hp sometimes much more hp. How long do those 1,000 hp aluminum stock block motors last? That's easy. Until they break.

Like mentioned above sleeves won't like life at that power level. If the funds are there I'd try to swing some sleeves.

There are many stroked LS3 blocks pushing 1000hp without any issues here in Australia.
I have never heard of one breaking at that power level.
At 1500hp+ I would certainly not use an LS3 block.
I would go either an ls9 or dart block.

I know of a procharged LS3 that makes 800 to the tires that gets treated like absolute garbage and keeps running and running.

Ton's of CTS-V's running around at 900+ on stock sleeves and I don't think the sleeves are any thicker on those.

Lot of LT4's at over 1k on stock sleeves and I don't think those are any thicker than LS3

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

Edit: I'm under the impression all the aluminum blocks have pretty thin sleeves, and there's a lot of them out there cranking out around 1k and some higher.. some quite a bit higher.

I will say you better have a really good tune and good fuel. At that power level there is no room for error on stock bottom end and stock sleeves.

That would depend on how often you push it to rev to the 900-1000 HP range.

If you almost never push it over 6000 RPMs, you should be fine....but the same could be said for pretty-much ANY engine.
