Dropped a couple pushrods while installing, problem?
Dropped a couple pushrods while installing, problem? Long story short, bag had a hole in it, so picking the bag up right side up, 3 pushrods slipped out the bottom and onto the garage floor, probably 2-3' fall, seem to have landed on the cup ends.
Left a mark on the cup ends, which seemed to wipe off fine, couldn't see any visible damage, and they roll flat.
Any issues with going ahead and running these?

If they run true when rolled against each other, they should be fine, my opinion. You can rotate them in a set of V block with a dial indicator on the middle, if you really want, but I don't feel that to be necessary. They really should not bend under their own weight of impact.

The pressures placed upon a pushrod in its' natural habitat is far greater than dropping one on the floor - unless of course, through murphy's law, you had one land at a terrible angle on its' tip on rough ground, causing it to scratch a little...

You should carefully inspect the tips of the pushrods, especially since you think they hit the hard/abrasive floor on the their tips. Take a close look through a magnifying glass. Using gentle force with a small flat-blade screwdriver, rub the tips of the pushrods to feel for any scratches or irregularities. The hardened tip of the screwdriver (or similar) will exaggerate any surface imperfections in the pushrods, making them obvious. Compare to other pushrod tips.
If they do have some scratches or surface roughness, don't be afraid to polish them out with some fine grit sandpaper (working your way up to ~600-1000 grit), followed by some buffing/polishing with some rouge.
And of course, make sure every component going into your engine is clean, Clean, CLEAN!
