Picked up a cheap 2005 LH6 pullout to swap into a RX-8 for a weekend car. Currently stripping down the engine for a cam and DoD delete. Should be fun in a 3050 lb car with T56 and 4.1 rear end ratio.
I'd like to bump the compression up a little bit from the stock 9.9:1. Its been about 10 years since building an engine and just getting back into the swing of things. How much can I mill the heads and be safe? Leaning towards just .010
Worried about the duration because its a large camshaft.

.030 is fine, just degree the cam in and check p/v clearance. Might even go .040 if all checks out. Need to watch the intake clearance, some intakes will work out with the head chop and some might give you a headache going back on. Depends.
