That's not terrible at all. I could probably fab something like that up.

The big hose clamps make it look a bit cheap. It works though. Lol. Made the bracket out of a piece of paper first for measurements.

Jake,
I would strongly suggest testing the Short Race Runners on the Engine Dyno VS
the Mid-Lengths, easy enough to change especially on the Engine Dyno.
The Increae in Plenum Volume will help more than the shorter runners
will hurt. The LOD runners look to be similar to the FAST Race Runners in Length.
My 3.60" Stroke 396" with FAST Mid-Length, LLSR 243/249 Peaked 7100-7300 @ 690
Engine Dyno. You have +40" all Stroke, More Duration, Compression, & Head Volume.
I think the Mid-Lengths will force Peak @ ~6500 in your combo, should still make
~710+, Race Runners easily 15-20 more, and with your stall not hurt the low end
to much. If you test them and do not like them I will buy them from you. It would be
Great Data for Tech as well.
Looking forward to your build/results.
Dan

I’m sure it works, but I never saw high enough pressures with the 10295 and 10296 pumps on the LSX blocks I built to ever cause any desire for less volume. The Dart block was supposed to have the oil passages designed to require less volume, which is what I tead this pump is for when it first came out. We’ll see I guess.

That’s a nice build for sure. Not sure why you would need a 6 bolt block With 11.9:1 static but if you have it then by all means build it. The lsx also requires a few more hundred dollars for cam plate and unique rear cover. A gen4 TSP or RED with 1/2” headbolt upgrade would be nice at about half the weight.

After looking over the LSX... and comparing to the Dart SHP. The Dart SHP wins. I'm also going to step down to a lighter 4.125" piston...

And some other changes from the original plan. Stay tuned.

Speaking of heads... Jake, what made you choose a aftermarket LS3 head over a aftermarket LS7 head?

The LS7 heads seem to hang on longer up top in the RPM band over the LS3 heads....

I'll just leave this here...

I am making a change after waiting 18 weeks for my heads. I cancelled the order. Going a different direction.

427 now? Interesting to see how those heads feed this beast.

Yeah. I don't need the bore. Just makes for a heavier piston. The 4.125" is unshrouded plenty.

I had been trying to avoid the SHP block... but it's just so much cheaper than the LSX and has some good upgrade features. It's a better platform to work from. And I can avoid a lot of excess machine costs keeping it at 4.125" bore as well.

I'm waiting to see what happens. If not, I'll dispute with my CC company.

There are several thing I had to learn the hard way on the dart block.
Lot of differences compared to a factory ls block.
Head bolts are blind holes. Dont go all the way through. My heads were decked a good bit so I bottomed the bolt out before getting tight.
Had to use extra washer under head of bolts.

Lot of plugs to be mindful of where they go. Order your block straight from dart build ready cheaper in long run then paying a machine shop.

Make a call to dart and ask for Kyle.
Great guy and will talk for an hour going over it lol. He has one in his car too.
A local shop by me builds quite a few of the shp blocks and started ordering it race prepped.

TSP dry sleeved OEM block, $2400, all common items fit, light, practical.
Icon pistons for that block, 4.125-4.155” about 400gms , hard to find lighter than that.
