Oh ok.
I thought they were made by Isky.
So they also have their own springs.
I guess that would make it 3 brands of springs I would trust.

Isky might be private labelling PSI springs? I don't think Isky makes their own springs. It takes very specialized equipment to do so.
I'm not sure Comp even makes theirs, just has someone make them to spec.

Isky did tell me a few months ago that they are developing new springs for the LS engines which should be available in the next 3 or 4 months.

What spring u need got a guy who has LS specialized PSI spring, that PSI creates just for him. My next springs aren't listed anywhere except his site. Friend referred me to him from PSI. You name it, he can pretty much cover it. 1.3 dia springs holding @ .840 max lift -- 750lbs of open spring pressure, this is his endurance series.

If LS1tech had a Cigar lounge, this thread would be it.

Darth educate me on how to get a cam that makes as much hp as possible to or 7800. I'm in shock and awe of a freaking 393 at 12.1 making 770+ understanding that teacher is a MF'er. But with 250ish degrees in intake duration & Dual carbs..ok. How would you go about it. Free on any thought except lift. 840 max. I figure I'm at 13.2 so that's a +.
We did this sometime back but I need a up to date version. Steven @ motion can find a lobe. I'm bored and that 393 gave me inspiration on getting this done and getting to Rowdy.

Funny thing is what was talked about was only thought or theory as no 1 person got a actually head to meet what was spoken on in truely matching the CSA for a given engine and rpm.
One did < lol!

What tricks me is I can go big like 275 and dial the LSA back . Or the one I like at 268 with a nice 112 lsa or something. Honestly idgf, just want the most possible inside my rpm window.

Noticed a few things ...most of my favorite engine builds have generally + 50 or more degrees of overlap (48 degrees was as low as I seen and calculated). So i did a few overlap calculations.
I came up with
268/286 112 LSA and 110 ICL
53 degrees of overlap
Compression at 13.2

How well does this fill the hole and how much cylinder psi? Hmmmmm.

So with all this, what does it add up to or better said how well does it perform / general characteristics of the cam?
408 13.2 compression.

No go on lifter mamba swap from 6177 ... besides that they're on back order since March. Won't be using there products any more...too many choices. Have to settle for next to the newest or better product. Zach said call him this evening..said something about a 408 similar to mines that made 760.
I wanna hear the overall build spec's. Go big or go home.

How do you even drive a cam with 53 degrees of overlap? That has to be a drag strip only cam.

U gotta do what u gotta do in the quest 4 a #. Build up compression (13+ as is) with the same cam & what do we have til 7800? Could place the icl @ maybe 106 for a shorter rpm band 7600 (& Even more overlap) yet make the same or near as much as the 110 lcl. Like higher cylinder pressure. 6k stall need only apply with a 4.30 to 4.56 rear gear very light vehicle. Different heads & cam package.. Guy's build bigger to attain higher hp #'s. Not needed..just a 408?
Cam used now is 260/274 .730 lift 113+4 = 750+ on a real dyno?. Entire setup > short block has always been meant 4: dyno 10% 2 different head pkg's (1's needed to complete the set), strip .1% = *banned, 89% street.

Side note Shawn @ SAM measured my Rowdy Yates ProComp Ls7 heads deck thickness after milling Vs ported FED factory ls3 heads...@ 62cc's still thicker than Non milled fac. 70cc Ls3 heads.. that's what that cam is 4...

Now may i ask a ?

How could or would you go about asking for 800 or more with a 13'ish compression ratio 408 & keep rpm under 8k?

Go calculate John B's overlap with 700rwhp? Tad bit under 50?

Never KCS........x2 in hp = Turbo, if we're to switch from NA.

NA cartel 4 life......

Think i may have found Mast Motorsports cylinder head Casting office in Mich. SRT raw casting? Last thing i wanna do, find my last cyl. head casting & Shawn can transfer Darin's work with a program. Way down the road....just want 2 get the hardest part out the way picking & getting the casting. Damn SRT small bore Port is like 290+ cc's for a small bore. Willing to bet 300 to 302 cc
