Default Removing stock rod and installing question.
Hello I just have a simple question this is for a stock L76 motor can I remove the stock rods and while reusing the stock bearing and bolts ? Can I just reinstall it and torque it to factory specs without taking it to the machine shop although I’ll measure to be sure. Of course I’ll mark the rods and caps accordingly. Thanks in advance

Why would you do so? Just remove and replace the same rods?

Gotcha. I don't see any problem with what you suggest. As said, keep mated parts together for reassembly.

No issue at all.

But be aware that the factory torque procedure calls for 15 lb-ft + 85 degrees of rotation which requires a torque-angle wrench.

Be sure to use straight oil, NOT assembly or ARP lube.

Well, you want EVERYTHING as clean as is practically possible. Peace of mind really comes into play here. Like ColeGTO says, follow procedure and the patient will make a full and healthy recovery...
