Hey guys,

Im getting ready to order bearings for my aluminum block 5.3. I have mic'd out the crank and rods and am trying to order the right bearings the first time. If i have to order different bearings later so be it, but heres where im at.

Stock 5.3 Gen 4 Crank. All mains measured out to 2.559 - I am guessing to start with Standard size bearings, i am shooting for .002" clearance

Rod journals

1/2 and 3/4 measured out to 2.099 - I am guessing .001" Undersized bearings to get me at .002 clearance

5/6 measured out to 2.0995 - I am guessing to order a STD and a .001" undersize set then mix/match to get me to .002"

7/8 measured out to 2.100 and i have two sets of Standard bearings. They measured out to 2.102 in the rods and i have my .002"

I will be going with Clevite H bearings since this thing will spin in the higher RPM range.

Do my guesses sound about right? Im jus ttrying to avoid ordering multiple bearing sets and trying to get it right the first time
