Thank you Lord for sending down another gear head!

My grandson is three and loves working in the shop with his paw paw. He's become well educated on tools and can point out certain parts of an engine.

That is seriously awesome! I thought about asking my daughter to put a wrench in his hand for a pic...

Hey Darth did you end up going for the Manley Spring kit instead of the PAC 1209x you originally said?
Looks like we are both running Yella Terras 10mm and same ratio.

The rockers should be all good as long as spring pressures are set up correctly.
What spring pressures you running to suit that RPM?
Mine are 200lb seat and 500-510lb open.

165 seat and 515 open. i bet my valves are lighter though. again it isnt only about the rockers.

That's lower spring pressure than what I was expecting.
I think you got the titanium valve option too didn't you?
The cam motion LLSR is probably less aggressive than the comp grind I'm running.
Would a big 2.230 valve weigh less than a 2.165 Hollow stem valve?

Curious how you like the 1209x. I sprung (lewl) for the 1238x for mine. I expect them to have a much shorter life than the 120xx series.

And I can say 100% yes the Ti intakes are lighter than the smaller hollow stainless. My factory Ti intakes are 77g.

I don’t think you should run hollow stem valves with solid rollers, but this LLSR stuff might be an exception to that.

I don't think Tony would let us run those hollow stem valves if they were not suitable.
I would say it's accurate how hollow stem valves are ok with Low lash solids.
However I would call the comp solid more of a medium lash.
I have spoken to a few people in the past who would never use a hollow stem valve with a solid roller.
Maybe back then things were different but technology progresses.
That 1238X spring is quite a heavy spring and long life is certainly not going to happen.
The Manley has a lower spring rate so a reasonable service life can be expected.
From memory the 2.165 valve weighs 87g I think.
