Fruits of labor and thanks!
Thanks and here are some fruits of my work and help here!
I filled up my vette with pump gas.
An hours each way drive to and from the track, 4-5 races and I still have 3/4 tank of gas!
At Pacific Raceways (SIR) Seattle I ran my first and slowest run at 12.8! No hook up at all!
Each run got better as I relaxed and learned. FYI, I am not a racer.
best run was 12.06! Almost perfect! If I break into 11’s I need a roll bar, harness, battery cut off, etc. no thanks.
my baby is to look stock and be streetable as I drive her to work on nice days!
Pre tech inspection
Did you know C3 headlights pop up at 110+MPH if vacuum is not hooked up?LOL!
No words. Just numbers!
Crate LS7, 4L75E tranny, GM wiring, computers, and GM hotrod tune. EG all nanny software turned off, no key fob, etc etc.
Rack and pinion steering, VBP performance street suspension, 3.73 rear end, spicer U-joints all around, half shaft loops, cryo treated slotted rotors, all rubber brake lines replaced with steel braided and aggressive pads. Internal fuel pump and baffled tank.
All work done done by me with help at times from friends and family.
Otherwise stock!

I would say that you got a bit left in that.

Your 1.85 60-foot time indicates that you could have as much as .3 second to shave....if you wanted to go there.
Eventually.....you gotta go back; if for no other reason than to get banned from the track!
thanks for the kind word folks!

The headers are the Camaro headers off an LS7. I had the side pipes cut and fit at the collectors. Also had the O2 sensors added there. The side pipes are factory BB pipes.

Wednesday our family headed to the track again. My car essentially remains the same with one exception.
I've gone to 17" rims with a little nicer tires than the old Firehawk 500's.
In short I pulled 11.90 then 11.89! two runs, one in each lane, in the 11's! We'd taken 3 cars. My wife's 07 bone stock vette, our sons 70 challenger and my 69. One son drove moms car. the 07 ran 13 flat, the challenger hit 13.5.
It was a fun day!
We asked about passengers. We were OK'ed for the other two cars after telling the numbers . When I asked about my car they said absolutely not before I could say anything! LOL! So I did not get tossed from the track but they did seem very aware of my 69 and the numbers I had turned! LOL!
Fun day!!

That is one of our sons in the challenger. Listen carefully, you can hear it shutdown because his throttle cable broke! Doh!

I struggled. long time but finally did it. After I added the raised white letters from tredwear I was pleased with the look!
Now with my new time slips I am elated! LOL!

I see you link to another forum in your signature so with respect to this forum I'll link to my build.
The videos are near the very last post so just jump down if not interested in the build itself.
