Default L99 Oil Pump

I have an L99 with AFM/DOD delete, but I'm keeping VVT with a Texas Speed and Performance VVT-4.2 L99 camshaft. It also has a new oil pan without the oil pressure relief valve. What oil pump would you use on this setup? TSP says to use a Melling 10295, but Melling is saying to use a 10355. I really don't know how much volume the VVT actually requires.

Is your Oem L99 pump shot? How many miles on it?

It still has the factory pump which is good (40K miles). My worries are that the high-volume/high-pressure pump that comes in the L99 might be too much now that the AFM/DOD has been removed.

I THINK VVT uses less oil volume than AFM/DOD. One way to check is to see which pump comes on VVT-only engines. Then you will have your answer.
