C6 LS3 416 Build Started
Because I'm preparing for 408ci.
But I don't know how much compression rate to use. Because I am in Taiwan, few people in Taiwan use the Ls engine, so there is very little information.
I want to use Frankenstein m311 heads.(Does M311 keep the original 72cc?)
How much compression should I use?
Compression rate i want to use medium,Because I don't want to be too high Compression , the weather in Taiwan is too hot, and I'm afraid the temperature will be too high.
Or can this kit be bought?https://www.cnc-motorsports.com/comp...E8XdNttxHEFiKo
I want the assembly to handle Turbo 1200hp/7300~7800rpm / 98 fuel. Will use E85 on weekends.
Would you like to share information?
sorry..my English is not good.
Thank you very much for your reply.

- My engine is a 416ci.(a bored and stroked LS3)
- As far as your question about compression for your turbo build, I'm really not an authority on that subject. You may want to start your own thread and post the questions for the many experts here. This a very basic explanation from an idiot (me): Static Compression is a fixed value that is a result of the cylinder components used (pistons, head gaskets, heads.........) and volume of the cylinder. Dynamic compression ratio is the result of what the valve opening and closing events caused by cam selection does to your static ratio. VERY OVER-SIMPLIFIED DESCRIPTION. So your the goal of what you want to do with your car will dictate what those values need to be.
- Yes the Frankenstein M311 heads keep the 72cc.
- Sounds like you are going to have good fuel so you really need to talk to a builder and iron out all the variables that go into sourcing the correct components. (how fast you want to go, car weight, Transmission type, rear end gearing, drivability, budget........) I highly recommend talking to Kyle at Thompson Motorsports. He can probably come up with a comparable rotating assembly to the one in your link or build and ship you a bad *** engine. Thompson Motorsports

Any update on this yet?
The project has been stalled for over a year. During that time, I did a huge remodel project on my house, and my daughter was seriously injured in a car wreck last summer that put her in the ICU for a while. As a dad I've never felt so helpless because we couldn't see her due to Covid Protocols. She had do lay there alone. We truly are blessed though. It was a tough recovery for her but luckily she is doing great now and went back to college at The University of Arkansas. That crap really took a lot of wind out of my sail. I had no interest in working on it and my mind wasn't in the right place to concentrate on the task if I did. I'm actually slowly getting started on it again. I just ordered some Hinson tranny mounts a few days ago and have started following the forums again. I have 95% of the parts I need and I am working on a project punch list to get organized. Its a pain in the *** because I kinda forgot where I left off on it. I labeled the bolt bags and was pretty organized but there are some "mystery bolts" laying around. Hell, I'm afraid if I get it running I will have to find a place to store all the **** I have piled up on it! LOL!
A new pic of how it sits right now.......This thing is a great storage device!
I should be ashamed of myself for neglecting this example of LS greatnesss!

Ease back into car work once you feel good about it, and you will!
See ya around!
