07 5.3 dod noise

Hi I bought a 07 gmc envoy with a 5.3 that someone started on and I picked up where they left off. It had new dod and the regular lifters replaced. The valley lifter tray was also replaced. I have never heard a top end make so much noise. Anyone have any thoughts it has great oil pressure and the noise is all top end? Dod ? Activating?

Thanks I checked the rockers and they where tight. What happens if the plug on the valley tray is unplugged? I know it’s not a new subject but I’m looking to see what other people might think or had go wrong. I have only ever done a complete delete and had good luck with those.

Well I will run it longer and see but it was running for over an hour and was at temp. And was holding 40 lbs pressure. Thanks I just want to get this figured out.
