Cam #4, unless you have a great tuner.

Cam 3.5 is my pick.
Right in the middle of 3 and 4

I think all are good candidates some may do better than others but all are probably within a 15 hp range with similar tq just at different rpms. I like number 5 kind of in the middle of the overlap at 16 and looks like you have good heads let them do the work instead of the cam. With an auto / stall your bucking will be minimal a stick would be a different story. You got a low first gear so that will get the car going - you have basically a 12 to 1 first gear multiple with the 4 x 3 ratios which is great most people only have 9 or 10 multiple. You basically like a guy with 4.88 rear and a 2.5 first gear. If you plan to drive the car a lot and don't want to fuss with it keep the cam simple you may loose some power up top but it is always a trade off. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on the interweb much the last few days because the weather is too nice outside, and the golf course sucked me in!

Thanks again for all the input. The cam is finally ordered. I went with a Pat G Spec 240/248 .626"/.626" 113 +3 on PGN368 lobes using a Cam Motion 8620 Core. The long block should be ready to pick up around mid November. Guess I better get off my **** and start pulling the old one out. I will have Pat G tune it when the time comes.

Good choice of camshaft.
My previous Pat G hydraulic roller also had .626 lift too.
Specs are good and will drive good all over to about 6500rm.
If Pat G is tuning it he will be able to get it drive smoothly down low if it's an automatic with a stall converter.
I would assume this is a 416 engine?

Yes it is a forged 416 with Frankenstein Heads, Johnson 2116 LSR's, a 3000 stall. I may re-stall sometime down the road it if I end up needing to.

A Yank 3000. A stroker will loosen it up a bit though.

I think you might need a 3500rpm converter.
See how it goes.
Hopefully you get no pushing on the brakes.

How have you been throwing out cam specs recommendations without knowing cubic inches?

I knew it was a stroker engine and being an LS3 I assumed either a 416 or 418.
Plus if you read the camshaft choices the OP listed with the large intake durations, it's a give away.
Sometimes you can tell.

Strangely enough I didn't know it was a stroker engine till I was in the thread and read the information.
I read the 416 on the thread title but it just never registered till that clown mentioned it.
This is what happens when you are having too much sex and not sleeping enough.
Top head becomes less alert and the bottom one just doesn't know when to quit.
