Block came in
Now need to select a crank for it. I've been looking at Dart's CCW 4.000" crank and Molnar's 4.000" idea is to spin this 8-8175RPM and 2 weeks later I'll have the budget to order rods which I'm also looking at Molnar's 580g light weight rods.

Don't think you'd go wrong with either. The Molnar looks like a great rod. COuld you get a package deal if you bought both from them?

Actually yes, Ed did mention he'd whip me up a deal if I buy the crank and rods from him.

Horsepower rating on the parts high enough for your build?

Cubic inches devour the top-end flow earlier in the rpm range which makes it easier to maintain valvetrain control. More net power and reliability. 4.125 stroke is a no brainer and more is possible with an optimized skirt profile. More stroke makes it possible to get more compression without a dome that begins to hurt combustion quality.

Lots of RPM and a lite weight rod requires a equally lite piston and pin combo or the rod will be compromised ( to much weight on the small end trying to change direction to fast)

Ed over at Molnar recommended his power adder rods vs his lighter rods so pulled the trigger just now

Parts List: (Wish List)

Dart SHP Pro
Dart CCW Crank
Molnar: Power Adder Rods
Diamond Dome Pistons (Gas lateral ports & Anodized)
CID LS7 Carb intake (Will lighten it up)
FED LS7 F710 10* heads (Fully decked out)
Jesel Rocker System (1.8)
Sniper Stealth EFI (4500)
ARH custom headers 2" stepped to 2 1/8" with 3.5" collectors
FED Spec'd/Cam Motion 8620 Core Big Hydraulic Roller
Johnson ST 2116-LSR Lifters

I'll edit and adjust as parts start coming in.
For an NA engine you don't need or even maybe want the power adder rods. you also don't need or probably want to anodize the pistons either. Spend that money on valvetrain.

I will be making some changes to the build for sure. This will not be rush or done over night. Yes I will be spending Extra $$ on valve train
