Default Tusky's Cookbook~All motor builds

Right off the bat this thread here will be made to help a guy trying to select a pair of heads, intake, cam selection for his car. You all will see how weigh plays a role and see thats its not all about the cubic inches of the motor. These are just SOME I HAVE RECORDS ON. If a car runs 11s and are over 400ci its not my cookbook.

All cars below are F body cars, All 6 speed cars, All pump gas , and all are running a hydraulic roller. I understand there are faster cars out there that are automatics and race gas. Those cars are not my cup of tea. I love simplicity so i love Naturally aspirated builds. So here we....

416ci, TFS 215s, fast 102, 3740lbs
247/254 623/623 114 cam
10.81 @ 127 mph e.t

416ci, LS3 heads untouched, LS3 intake untouched, 3450 lbs, 239/254 624/595 114+3 cam
10.49 @ 131.45 mph e.t

418ci, CNC ported LS3 heads, fast 102mm, 3700lbs, 239/254 624/624 113+3 cam
10.84 @ 127 mph e.t on a bias ply

418ci, PRC 247s, VR ported fast 102mm, 3300lbs
248/256 621/604 112+4 cam
6.47@ 103 mph 1/8 mile e.t

402ci, AFR 230s, fast 102mm, 3400lbs
247/251 623/623 112+3 cam
10.64 @ 129.99 mph e.t

402ci, TFS 235s, fast 102, 3650 lbs
Pat G 240s cam~ secretly spec cam
10.34 @ 133 mph e.t

413ci, 4.1 stroke LS2 block, fast 102mm, mast 245s, 3720lbs
251/254 623/623 112 cam
10.83 @ 129 mph e.t

427ci, LS7 block, wcch LS7 heads, fast LS7 intake
3400 lbs, 236/256 660/660 111 cam
10.34 @ 134.56 mph e.t

408ci, PRC 247s, fast 102mm
unknown weight
251/259 TSP cam
10.55 @ 129 mph e.t

346ci LS6, stock LS6 heads and cam
3400lbs
10.84 @ 126 mph e.t

346ci LS1, stock 241 heads untouched, fast 102mm , 3200 lbs
234/246 cam
10.86 @ 126 mph e.t

402ci , AFR 205s by Mamo, Mamo ported fast 92mm, 3750lbs , LQ block
Pat 240s cam~ secret specs
10.80 @ 129 mph e.t on a 17 inch Vette rim/ Hoosier QTP tires

I hope this thread is helpful to some people. I'll try to answer any questions I'm asked to the best of my ability to any specific car/build.

Some cars have better suspensions than others, better clutches, etc.... No two builds are the same here.

The most impressive one to me is the 416 with untouched LS3 heads and the btr stroker cam.
a 10.4sec 1/4 mile for a stock head and intake is just nuts.

Bortous- That car is one of the best running LS3 hesded cars I've seen. The Chris 1313 ram air setup really helped that combo out....

Those are all fast cars. Tens are getting more common but I think ppl lose sight of how bleeding fast a ten second car really is. ESP mid to low tens.

Edit - most of the general public has never been in anything close to a ten second car and will report its the fastest car they have ever been in. Is as hobbyists have our butt dynos out of calibration.

No rules really. These combos above are what i call simple and fast.... 10s are common kinda but ive seen lots of 400 plus cube stroker setups stuck in the 11s.

10 second cars are insanely fast.
Scary fast actually.
Driving something that quick on the street can be dangerous.

Especially doing it in a stick. Much easier in an auto car. Crazy that stock stuff nowadays can get you 10s or close to it.
