Wow. I’m getting tired of people trying to talk Bro out of the cathedral heads and into LS 7s. Geeesh. lol. I cant wait. To see what it puts down. I just hope the builder doesn’t screw up this new engine too

Everyone has an opinion but I also think too is because they all focus on the max hp number the head can achieve. Which is useful in certain applications.
My focus is different as listed here.
No one can talk me out of the the heads Tony and I have chosen.
The builder never screwed up anything.
If he had his way it would have been different.
It would have been so simple if I had taken a more simple approach and left everything alone like he wanted.
Also things can happen too that are out of your control.
It is a learning curve and I'm not repeating that same mistake again.

That old computer came after i learnt how to program by marking data cards. Do about 10,000 cards and i could make a stick man walk a few paces lol

These would have worked well on my 408 actually I believe.
But anyway, such is life

These AFR's will be much stronger everywhere compared to the 243's.
So all is good.
I’ve been pretty happy with the stock cathedrals on my 440ci combo. I don’t really race it much, just a fun street car like what you were describing. I’m actually getting everything together to put L92 heads on it so hopefully I can live with the loss of low end torque lol.

Oh don't you start. Lol
They should work better on the larger engine for sure.
You will notice it but being a 440 it would be fine.

Yep, I was a kid, but I caught the end of the cards and feeding tape era. if it didn't take, you fed the whole tape again.

I thought to write a post here in regards to my experience so far with Tony.
I have to say this man has given me the best customer service I have ever had.
With fast and detailed responses, and constant updates or changes on any aspect of the build there is always an email waiting to be read.
He is fully invested in this build and the energy in the air has positive vibes.
Not to mention the discounts I received on the package deal which was very generous.
No one comes close to Tony in communication and having great products on top of that is just the icing on the cake.
It is a good idea to appreciate that Tony was an engineer at AFR and is sharing his knowledge on these forums for us to learn for free.
He knows heads better than anyone and no one at that level really posts on this forum anymore except for him.
To have constant communication from someone as dedicated and as passionate as Tony is a rarity.
Hell, sometimes I think Tony is more excited about my build than I am!
As many of you know Tony and I have exchanged countless emails for a long time and even back then his responses were still so detail orientated.
This shows me that he is passionate about his business and products and loves what he is selling.
Plus it's a positive reflection of his character.
To top it off he has several records with his combos making the most power and the competition is very fierce out there.
Being in business myself I have met many people of different personalities.
If you find someone who is exceptional and genuine in what they do, respect them and show appreciation.
Remember, what you dish out, one day it will come back to you.

What records does he have? I hadn't heard that one before. Are you talking about actual racing or on a dyno?

Dyno.
One guy in the USA went 200mph down the 1/4 mile with his ls7 top end.
Another member on here also set a record for the most power from an ls7 na build.

I don't race dyno's or tune on them When you're claiming records, it's perfectly reasonable to ask for clarification. Take it down a notch.
