Hi TrendSetter and G Atsma,
If it was so logical and silly then why did it take 20 yrs for someone to make them the way we did. I'm not talking so much about Improved Racing, they did change it up, but we
have been copied by several other companies. I think enough has been said on this.

I fully agree with you!
There are some things that one would think to be obvious and logical, but it takes someone to be first to consciously notice it!
You did with the tapped removal hole. It's one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" things. You thought of it first.

The exact copying is what they mean. It could have been anything else. I have seen some style nylon plugs with a cross on the back that you could grab with pliers and pull. Havent seen those in a while, but they were an option.
You can indeed use steel also or another injected nylon piece or 3d printed whatever.
As you can see, there are many different venues to make a product that dont hint to a gray area somehow.
