Default Rocker Noise

I have a 99 LS1 Z28 with 83k. I have a small noise coming from the upper end of the engine. When on the throttle lightly, it can be heard. It cannot always be heard when the engine is at higher RPMs. It almost sounds like the rockers are out of adjustment. I was wondering if that could be the case. Or do they self adjust?

The rockets on a LS are not adjustable. The lifters sure preloaded. Most common source of ticking noises is actually exhaust leaks. If that is not the case then you will need to look into replacement lifters. That is the next big source of ticking. Commonly called sewing machine noise

Sometimes the hyd lifters get gunked up! you can try some lighter oil & or some oil additives

this works well for me
