Made 2 baseline pulls and the graph looks the same as when I was on the dyno last over 3 years ago. The area of interest is around 8k rpms (135 mph) on this graph.

We got a plan of attack for the install of the new Holley TB, going to pull the intake and get it in the CNC to clearance the blades. The next big hurdle is a throttle cable bracket, we are planing on milling the lower base to clearance for the bracket, then mill a extension for the rear portion of the cable to raise it to clear the linkage.

Rowdy!! Interesting that the throttle bodies overlaid each other so much. I had a 1050 on a CID intake and it needed the corners scalloped the clear. I'm sure that big TB will like some profiling at the carb flange.

we have to mill a considerable amount to make opening the same on the intake.

Well there she is, got the CNC fired up today after work and made the spacer for the throttle bracket, then milled the bottom of the TB for the bracket to mount. Next was the intake, we made a couple of passes on it you can see in the second photo of the intake just how much material needed to be removed. There’s still some light hand finishing to do to blend the tops of the runners and celling front and back. But overall it came out pretty nice and can’t wait to get it back on to redo the car.

Very nice work! A lot of people don't realize the thinking that goes into this. Good, rigid setup, too, as I see no tool chatter. A work of art. Assuming this wasn't done on an older Prototrak type retrofitted Bridgeport....

Thats what I thought. Prototraks are fine for some things. Bearing races and things like you're doing, not so much! Are you gonna do any more work on this, like butterfly shaft diameter work, or??

We didn’t get crazy but did do some more work on the intake. Really it was just to smooth all the transition into the runners and roof it the manifold. I don’t think that I will do any more substantial work on the manifold unless something isn’t right.

Im still going to have to pull the intake back off to do the direct port nitrous setup, also need to add a burst panel back on it.

The numbers are in!!

It was totally worth it! Only throttle body change, tune was only fueling adjustment, ran the same timing. Now to pull the manifold back off and install the direct port kit!

Nice gains for sure! At the point you're at, those 5-10hp gains are hard to come by.

I was about to say the same thing. 20+ across the board is awesome at this level. It proves what I’ve said all along…the LS wants air. Feed it all you can.
