Boy I will bet that pass had the adrenaline pumping. Great Job!!!! Car looks great coming off the line and going down the track. Crank that launch rpm up to 5500 when your hooking that good. Those Menscers are definitely doing their job. I smell a 1.0x 60' if and WHEN you do spray it, you know your going to have to spray it right.
That is one Bad Bitch to say the least. I could not be more happy for you. Congratulations!!!!!!

oh it was for sure, the car leaves strait and just pulls like a train! Pretty amazing what the ls shocks can do, I later found up the rears were on the bump stops ( need to raise it up a little), if we got another run that night i was going to raise the launch up that high. 1.0 60 Is gonna feel great lol yea you’re right I will, sparing is a whole different experience, 4.90s 1/8 is very possible.. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼👍🏻
It’s time to dust the car off and get back to the track. There’s a test and tune next Saturday that I’m going to.
I have to change the oil, rear diff fluid, raise the rear up a touch, I’d also like to paint 2 small brackets
( nitrous ball valve in the car, oil tank), need to remove the dash and clean up some wiring and finish the nitrous wires. Last just need to run the purge lines and cut them for the nitrous.
Still not 100% on if I’m going to spray it but it would be nice to see what 1 kit would do.
With adding the new torque boxes and the car sitting, I decided to do the right thing and enter it in the 5.30 index at Street Car takeover Charlotte in 2 weeks. I was already going to support cars (TT R8s and Huracans) for work and asked to bring it along.
Now the car is pretty much untested at this point but I got the rear bar angle at -4 degrees and reset the rear shocks back to a base settings. The track is going to be hot and greasy most likely so the plan is to leave real soft to get down and hit it with a 50-100 kit. The car for sure could do 5.30s on motor but would have to leave pretty hard.
Hoping to go some rounds out there but in the case I don’t, I’m going to hit the car harder and shoot for a PB 4s would be nice!
Friday I got 1 pass in, dropped the launch to 4200 and I finally made a A-B pass and the car is separating. Still needs shock tuning but with 300 less rpm it was only few numbers off the PB.
Got 1 more pass in on Saturday before the rain came down and it went 3 feet and blew the tires off, the track was really greasy and it was in the upper 90s out. Will have to go testing again to get after it and set a new pb.
It’s been pretty quiet here lately but I have started on some updates/ upgrades. We are going to do some back to back testing on the dyno in the quest for more power. 1st is the Holley Dual big bore throttle body, it just looks massive in comparison to the Accufab 4500.
Just like everything it’s not as simple as bolting it on, the throttle body opening needs quite a bit of work and the base of the throttle body needs to be milled so I can mount the cable bracket.
Any reason for that vs something like an Accufab 6500 or higher? Interested to hear. Looks like a nice piece!
You still have to mill the intake to fit a 6500 or 8500, would have went with the 8500. Also there are couple of well know guys running this TB with success. Plus the Holley was almost half off over Christmas.
