Felpro 1208-3 works for intake gaskets.
Why are those exhaust seats so rusty appearing, looking at that steering column pic? What fuel are you running?

The motor was Dynoed with C16, I have noticed this and was hoping it wasn't going to be a issue
Bump, well the fab shop started out with a fire but progress has stalled. They were getting a couple of car ready for FL2K, also I called and spoke with VFN about the hood I ordered its been 14 weeks. They told me that it wouldn't be done till the end of December, **** is getting out of control!! I was thinking of fixing the hood I have and shaving the bottom flat so it will clear or running one of the clear scoops for now. I'm at the point where I have started to loose interest in the build and tossed the idea around on selling it. I'm sure that will pass when I get to hear the car run, just hope its this year!
You definitely would regret selling it man. Stick with it and at least hit your goal before you THINK about doing that!
Also in for if the rusty valves are ok??
Oh I know I would, I'm really just impatient as **** lol! I am starting to get concerned about the motor from it sitting so long, even though I have spun it over. The motor was sealed and always in a climate controlled place, my shop is AC as well as the first fab shop. The motor is coming back out when the car gets painted so I could always pull the heads and have the valves cleaned, that wouldn't do anything for the seats tho
Right on. You do get a lot done in a little time when your car isn't depending on a shop.
Always look forward to updates on this thread too. I would feel betrayed at this point if I didn't get to see it through
As I am a shop owner lol That's what gets me is how can peoples customer service be this bad! I just cant stand games, just tell me strait up you didn't work on it, I had to go down to pull the hatch, as I sold it and found things not done that they said got finished. BiTcH WHERES MY DISCOUNT!! LOL
Don't worry I will finish the car! looking forward to hearing it run and it painted!
On top of what your going through Palm Beach International Raceway is being sold so by the time your done you probably can't even race it locally. It really has me bummed out.
I had a question on your shop. Do you do pretty much everything or do you limit your work to certain things. On my newer Camaro I installed an ati underdrive pulley and it's kind of noisy so I did something wrong.

I ran my other car out at Palm beach, it was always a **** show. The car will be run in Orlando as I have family I can stay with and best of all free help at the track! Lol.
I do everything but body work, pm me, there’s definitely something going on there as I have run a ton of ATIs with no issues.
Car's looking good. Just a tip with the exhaust ports (what i do on engines and/or cylinder heads that might be sitting for a while), spray a good amount of some anti-rust lube in all of the ports to coat the valves / seats. I use CRC 5.56 or similar, something that isn't sticky and will just burn off on engine start. If the engine is still on an engine stand and can spin it upside down i spray enough so it even runs down the valve guides. Starting a fresh engine like that with totally dry valve guides and seats, even though it'll most probably be OK it just makes me cringe a bit.

Good to know, I will spray them down before I start it up.
So the fab shop killed it yesterday and its looking like the headers will be finished up today. He is adding the EGT ports and V bands to the end of the collectors so I can run flush tip or I can do bull horns, this makes it an easy swap! He has a couple of small things to finish up ( rans mount, TA mount, seatbelt tabs, carbon doors) but hope to pick the car up next week!
Fingers crossed that I can go pick it up this week! For once I have a free weekend so ill have time to somewhat wire the car so I can at least start it!
