The engine was running fine when pulled from a 200k mile z71. Upon teardown I noticed a good amount of the coating on the piston skirts was worn through. I'd like to replace these pistons, but I'm not sure what to go back with. This engine is being built for a 2000 3 series BMW. It's just going to be a daily so I'm looking for something that will last thousands of miles. My goal is around 350+ hp to the tires through a 4l60e. So far I plan to mill the heads (243s) and swap in a small cam. If anyone has any suggestions on other pistons or any other aspect of the build I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Forged flat tops with valve reliefs. For a daily? I like Mahle’s new line up with their small ring pack (1.0 1.0 and 2.0), hard anodized finish and coated skirts. 4032 alloy for tighter, quieter fit .0025-.003 PTW clearance, they’re light too.
