Please help! No oil pressure.

You should be fine. You caught it quick enough. Slap that new pump on there, remember to center your front cover and dab some rtv, and you are good to go. You may want to pull the fuel pump fuse and spark plugs and crank it over a few times to prime it.

Good find. If no metal is in the filter and you didn't find metal in pan with a magnet probed though drain hole (a 1/4x1/2 neo cylinder magnet stuck in hose works good), you should be good. Did you pull out relief valve to see why it stuck?

Update:

well, I used the LS3 cam install writeup over at camaro5 for instructions and got the pump changed out.

i followed video instructions from Melling to prime the new 10295 pump thru the drivers side oil galley plug.

From logs i had back before the 0psi incident I had 31.0psig idle / 42.4psig at cruise.

With new Melling I have 45.3psi idle / 52.2 cruise.

No odd noises, no leaks so far.

Fingers crossed that we dodged the missile.

My C5 Corvette did this to me. They almost always peg the gauge at 130 psi. Mine actually did this the first time it failed. But last time it failed, it did just what yours may be doing-It read 0 psi. I put a gauge on it-50lbs. Replaced sensor. I hope this is your problem. I've read horror stories about the Oring failing, the pump sucks wind, and motor will be junk in several seconds. Good luck.....

After I got the pump on the bench I looked with magnifier and couldn't see anything visibly holding the valve plug off the seat. I tapped on the plug with a screwdriver a couple of times and it unexpectedly snapped shut.

i disassembled the pump and removed the valve plug and spring, there was only a tiny particle of grit or two, not 100% sure how I got it on my finger or whether it came from inside the valve, these particles were way smaller than sand...and didnt look shiny like aluminum or metal.

I cannot say I found any debris or obstructions to explain why it stayed open.
