Default LY6 cylinder liners length?

As the title says. Are the stock liners in a stock LY6 ( 4th gen)
any longer than a aluminum block? I know 4.0 stroke pulls the piston out the bottom on 6.0L and 6.2Ls, just wonders if the same is tryy it e for OEM iron blocks too.

thanks,
Jim

🤔
ls2 5.475
Ls3 5.460
Lq4/lq9 < same basic blocks LY6 is a updated version of with newer ecu and 58x stuff.
5.420
Correct builder and newer pistons Eliminate any worry... Get the bottom of the bores correct 😉

Problem is worse, but the piston manf have gotten better. Still like a shorter 3.8-3900 stroke in an iron block, but nobody cares these days. China

The piston is going to be pulled below the bottom of the cylinder with a 4.0" stroke on pretty much any block you go with. With the piston being barrel shaped, what is important is that the largest diameter of the skirt stays in the bore at BDC, not necessarily the whole skirt. Buy pistons from a reputable source, and the skirts will be designed correctly for any of the LS blocks with a 4" stroke crank.

Summit Pro LS pistons, just as an example, show you where that spot it.

ls7 blocks are like 5.85-5.90 liners which is similar with aftermarket blocks and Darton resleeved LS blocks are 5.80 or so inches.
