Default SBE 427 N/A FED Top End (Testing)

I will try my hardest to update this as much as I can.

We decided to take our production manager's stock C6Z to use as a test mule. This indeed will be a SBE N/A deal.
Test 1 will be our F710s with a Ported MSD
Test 2 will be our F710s with a FED Low Pro
Test 3 will be our F710s with a FED Freak Show intake.

Edit: This will be done on Pump 93 before jumping into E85 or Race Fuel. Compression is set to 12.5:1

I guess probably need a little more detail on the cam in general sounds pretty big and is it solid or HR. I presume a stick car (I know they all came with a stick). Looks like has your heads on it now and an MSD and a vararam intake, and headers. Should be an interesting test.

One suggestion would be to ditch the Vararam in favor of a Haltech intake. The vararam typical dynos 15-20hp less than the halltech intake.

I see you fly cut the pistons but I also so you bumped compression up to 12.5 to 1 which means you shaved the head a lot. If you did not shave the head would you have needed to cut the pistons? Or was it also the 2.25 valve was hitting stuff (versus OEM 2.20). The reason I ask this is people who might be interested in product would want to know this. Of course the cam size could be suspect too. For example as long as you don't shave more than .020 out or run a 2.20 valve the OEM pistons are fine. Most aftermarket pistons have bigger valve reliefs I know my Wiesco are like .080 deeper and have a 2.25 valve semi circle in the piston relief.

That's nasty for a H/C/I SBE LS7.

I'm real interested in the intake tests. I have heard from Pasadena Speed that it's common to see a 4mph gain in the 1/4 switching to one of your intakes, which is impressive.

Out of the box at 68cc you do not need to fly cut to run them on a SBE LS7. We got the chambers down to 62cc with a 0.040" gasket cam is a 25x/27x which had the Intake valves barely kissing the piston which we decided to fly cut. We will be running E85 after we are done with 93 fuel testing.

Very Good numbers - thanks for answering the questions. Good to know the baseline and if you stick with normal CCs and gasket thickness the head bolts on. Post a dyno graph when you get one.
