Default Mild L92 Build questions

Does anyone make a good kit or a plan foe what to buy for a mild build of a L92. It’s going in a 79 Scout II, planning for a manual valve body 4L80e. Will be a dune / street toy. Done a lot of reading about VVT, different cams, LS3 manifolds, or do a complete FiTech or Fast system and dump GM computer, etc and now my heads spinning. Hoping a mild build will make around 500+ Hp. Would like to do drive by wire, as I have the pedal and tac module to do it. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I would stick the Texas Speed VVT cam of your choice in it, with the proper valvetrain upgrades, and send it.

So keep all the stock intake etc? I have read that can’t keep the VVT of doing a manual transmission.

VVT and manual trannies work fine, but a manual valve body auto still shifts like an auto, so the question is moot

I guess the more and more I read, I’m picturing my old TH400 with manual valve body and ratchet shifter is not possible or needed. I want the 4l80 to shift when put into D, but if put to 1st I want it to hold 1st tell I shift to 2nd.
