Default E38 LS3 Oil Pressure OBDII

I've got a LS3 installed and wired up in my 71 Nova, but I wanted to be sure I have oil pressure before the initial start. The motor has a new oil pump, pick up tube and has been sitting for around a year. I'm running an e38 computer and PSI conversion harness. I used a couple oil pressure PID's for the Torque obdii app, but they read oil pressure as being at 117-130 psi while the engine is cranking. I also used an Actron obdii scanner with live data but I could not view any oil pressure data. Is it true that the E38 ECU will display the oil pressure? Has anyone else had any luck using an obdii device to view oil pressure?
I've also been cranking the engine over using the starter, with the spark plugs removed to increase the the speed. Other than using a pressurize tank, is there a better way to prime the oil system? Barely saw any oil on the lifters so far.

Thanks, happy new year.

For initial testing, hook up a mechanical gauge.

Be sure you installed the oil pump correctly.
