If you are using their block, then I would use what they recommend. I was assuming that you just had a GM block re-sleeved.

I was also wondering about the coolant jackets. I don't see how the big bore sleeves stay cool. They cut into the coolant jackets in the block. The block and heads normally line up. With bigger sleeves, the coolant passages won't be the same. I'm sure Dart figured out how to make it work on their block though. Do you have any pics of your block?

I spoke with DART and they were adamant about using gaskets made for their block only. They said the cooling holes won’t line up otherwise and I’ll have issues if I use LS7 or any other gasket. Weird.

Didn’t make sense if I’m using LS heads. I’m using Trick Flow 245 cc heads.

So the only gasket I can use is a Felpro 0.051 gasket.
I'm using cometic 6 bolt head gaskets on my dart block. No issues at all.

So I ended up with 11.61:1 compression. DART 427. But is my math off or is my Dynamic compression at 9.94? http://www.wallaceracing.com/dynamic-cr.php

I used a different calculator and got 8.9.

See attached pics.

Dynamic compression is based on 006 valve events not 050

For your dome volume, you entered zero. What piston are you running? Agreed with Darth on dynamic numbers calculation.

That will make a difference. Enter +8 in the spot there.
