Default DOD delete plugs

I'm going to use the LS3 valley cover PN 12598832 to delete the DOD on an L77. Does anyone know if the cover will suffice to seal off the towers or should they be plugged as well? This will be used with a Melling 10355hv, which is a high volume/high pressure pump(10psi over stock).

3/8”-16 set screws, you can get them at any hardware store. 3/8 tap and shop air or shop vac and cutting oil is all you would need to seal up those towers and not worry about internal failed o-rings. (Don’t attempt this if your engine is together) you find stainless 3/8 set screws on eBay or hardware site.

Lingenfelter I think also sells a Rivet kit that plugs them up to that can be done on the car.

Not the ones I've seen. No more than an installed pop rivet.

Yeah, that would be a problem if they weren’t below the surface.

ICT makes a valley cover that doesn’t require plugging the holes.

Again ICT makes a valley cover that does not require plugging the holes-its also only $70 compared to $100 for the tool.

I run a valley cover with the o rings as well as the plugs. I didn’t want to take chances with oil pressure. Just another option for those that want extra piece of mind. The tool also comes with enough plugs to do 3 engines and you can buy more plugs. Might make more sense for guys that do more than just one motor.

Just another option. Not sure why everyone is so triggered. Dont like it don’t buy it simple as that. Typically o rings dont just sit between two flat surfaces like they do on the dod towers. The way an o ring on the oil pump seals is complete different and way superior yet how many issues do we see on threads here about issues with them ?
