Default L96 build

Is L96 good for a build?
I’m have 2011 L96, I’m reading that the rods n pistons are weak point on these? Heads are good and crank is Good.
Is this good block to build a destroyer with 4.8 crank? I’m using a non vvt cam and ls7 lifters. Plan is to build the destroker and add a turbo or procharger. Any suggestions on what rods n pistons to use?

Why a short stroke, what kind of RPM are you thinking, these arent SBC's, any LS will rev freely.

Dyno testing by Richard Holdener has proven a shorter stroke LS does nothing to help it rev, and loses power due to smaller displacement

I read the summit racing write ups for the ly6 and L96. They state that the pistons are the weak point. But I think they talking about if your looking to push like 800+HP I think I should be good, looking to get around 650 out of mine with boost.

looking to spin 7k plus but I been reading that with the right cam and valve train it should be able to spin 7k or more without a problem.
