What model car is it? The eighth digit is what determines the engine.
If yours is indeed a "V", that indicates a Gen III LR4 4.8L engine, which means your vehicle is a 1999-2006 Chevy or GMC truck or SUV.

Yeah, 1st digit 2 is Canada (St. Therese / Oshawa) i.e. F body. 3 is Mexico which is where most of the trucks were assembled. 1 is US which might be Vettes (Bowling Green).
Never heard of a 4.8 Camaro myself, but I don't claim to be any kind of expert. The numbers ARE what they ARE.

The L99 (J) and LS3 (W) were the only V8's that came in the 2010 Camaro in any country, the LS3 with manual trannies, the L99 with automatics.
