Default Connecting rods

L96 build, building it for boost, I ordered ARP connecting rod bolts without knowing that these 4th gen have the one with bushings so it hard to take out. Would you recommend keeping the stock bolts and leave it as is or remove them and use the arp. If so how do you remove the stock bolts without taking it to a shop.

If you don't have the time or money to pay someone to do the job right by making sure the rods and crankshaft play well together with the installed ARP hardware then forget about the bolts and run them as is.

Stock bottom end LS3’s….same rods and rod bolts as you have….have been 8.55 at 154mph. Not sure what your plans are with the build, but unless your shooting for world record numbers, your stock bolts are fine.
