LY6 To LS3 Naturally Aspirated CAM Qs
5spd 300zx building a naturally aspirated LY6 motor
*Looking for an agressive CAM thats not a dyno queen but well balanced through the HP and Torque curve... Love the Lobe sound of big cams but not interested in over cam'n
* I read in a post here that the LY6 does not have VVT but I'm pretty sure it does, is there VVT and AFM that I need to delete when I do the CAM swap
* Anything else I need to note for the Cam swap
* Planning on upgrading the springs with new CAM
* Lifters?

Google GM Ly6, "on all cylinders" has some nice short descriptions of mods for the various versions..
According to their sheet the LY6 is VVT but does not have AFM.. You'd just buys a VVT compatible cam if you want..
VVT is cool when its working,, I kinda like the way the engine can relax at cruise with VVT.. But to each his own on that..

I posted this in another thread but this is what I have.
Custom spec’d cam from Cam Motion in my LS Swap 1965 Cutlass. She is a torque monster down low.
Cam Specs: 224/236 .595/.595 112+3
Engine: L96 6.0 iron block with flat top pistons
