So does this crank need to be machined?? It is the Summit LS Pro forged crank for LS3 that I was told would work in the LSX block just like most of the other stuff.

Here is link to the crank I am using : https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-180ls362258x

The main bearings are King MB5013XPC : https://www.summitracing.com/parts/kgb-mb5013xpc
These are the rod bearings King CR807XPNC : https://www.summitracing.com/parts/kgb-cr807xpnc

Let me know if I'm doing something wrong here. Thanks.

* Update : After some digging, I somehow have a feeling these are the wrong bearings!
OP, another point of consideration, although they say that the coating doesn't interfere with clearances, in my experience (with Clevite coated) they do mic a little on the tight side. If memory serves me correct, when I spoke to the folks at Mahle about it a few years ago, they told me that their coated bearings open up by around .0007-.0008 when the coating beds into the journal. I may be off on the exact numbers, but that's around the ballpark. It may be worth asking the same question to King before you start polishing journals or swapping bearing sets around.

When I built my engine I ordered about 4 sets of bearings from different manufacturers. The coated Clevites are the ones that gave me the proper clearance.( ms2199hxk)
If you’re running .00183 with the gauge and standard bearings you might need to mix and match a +.001 and a standard to give you a .0005 increase in clearance for a .00233
if you mix and match bearings keep the bearings shells the same on the halves. All caps get the same bearing or the block gets all the same bearing. A coated +.001 might increase the bearings clearance less the the .001
Make sure you are wiping down the back side of the bearings, caps and block bearing surface with acetone. Also they shouldn’t have any oil on them. +.001 oil clearance kings coated mains

+.001 rod king coated
