Default Anyone Run the BR7 262 out of Box, 4.125 X 4.00

Been looking a bit has anyone run the BR7 heads out the box ( found some ) without porting...trying for 6 months to get a build operational...
Will have soon..
Sleeved Gen 4. 4.125 X 4.00 stroke.
Have the ST2126SLR lifters, BTR LS7 stage 3 Cam ( 237/250 .646/.632 113+3)
10296 pump ect with swap pan ( going in old Musle car ).
Also brand new BTR stock upgraded trunion rockers..
Pistons are bought 4.6cc flat tops, i think with a .040 and assuming a little positive deck I can get around 11.3 or so box stock heads....
1 7/8th swap headers
Will be using a Hi Ram, biggest mechanical TB I can find and a Terminator X Max thru and FTI 3600 triple disc/4L80e into an aluminum thru bolt torsen 9 inch carrier with choice around shop of 3.25s ( in car)/3.55/3.70s

Vasilating back and forth between a good LS3 ported head/intake ( got bad screwed by a major company ) buying a new cam I guess GPI stage 4 looks super close to same...but on that I'd push compression up to 11.7-9ish and it will be on a return flex fuel setup e85 on strip days...primarily weekend cruiser...

Or since these BR7s look to match or exceed stock heads but with i presume none of the valve dropping issues, id gain the valve and entry angles of the LS7 design but with flow similar to or better than bigger LS3 ports at only 262cc should be fairly strong....

The plan would be next year if im still alive i could pull them to get ported and milled or just toss a D1x on it...just need to get running it's been 6 months and I've gotten no where thru incompent lying companies over promising and under delivering.....I MIGHT be able to find someone to mill them before assembly in a qausi time reasonable fashion is like to push on up there in mid to high 11 to 1s...

I'd like to see near 600whp, and low 10s ( car will take anything the engine can make ive removed 320lbs off the nose it used to hang the wheels a foot in the air with a BBC running low 10s 1.36-1.44 60fts all day NA), im guessing your gonna say I'm not even close to that goal...

Anyone run these without the STS 273 port job? Seems like a good foundation and perhaps in stock trim i should run a different intake but I like how the hi ram takes a smaller cam and extends it's operating range a little bit, it's a trade on manners but making the car super predictable even if slower during hits is major as an inexperienced driver will be learning on low power ( my daughter)..

I was thinking maybe a high ram base ( pull to port next winter) with like a shearer top with biggest TB that will fit? Or the new Holley 2 piece single plane in 4500 with a 4500 EFI tb and MPI for a more traditional look in car...not looking for every 10th but would like it to be crisp im used to 1000+ for many years and haven't had under 700hp in 25 or so...big down grade already...

What you guys think? Predicted peak rpm n power? I could get the BR7s now or maybe some ported China LS3 in 11 degree trim with 277 ports flowing about the same...or perhaps ported China LS7 castings....I like the idea of LS7 on a 427ci re sleeve already having cam and rockers hehe....not sure what the real difference is and I haven't seen many apples to apples on the big bore 427 ( vs 4.125 crank LS3)...

Thanks

I would like to know the answer as well. Let us know what you decide.

This is just my opinion, but here goes. If you have a clean slate to go LS7, just do it. LS3 architecture, in general, will never make similar power w/o straight magic from a top guy like ER, or similar(and good luck w/ that route). I am at the point of looking at flow #'s/Port volume and it's almost meaningless. The I have seen 300cfm make 500+whp and I have seen 390cfm make barely make the same. The BR7's will clean up real well, w/ a hand blend. Call Scott Foxwell/ Chad Spier/Weingartner for work. The regular guys who do great head work at getting slim. I am watching it happen. FYI, you better get in line for a Hi Ram, backorders are happening now. If you need a set of rockers, I have a nice set of CHE'd LS7 rockers GM, that I am selling. Gave up on mY small bore LS7 topend for now, too many non-car issues at the moment.

Buy the Br7 then go back thru them later with porting.

If you'd like to get fancy get the Br7 Big Spring heads without porting.

😉

Sounds like 600-630 fwhp without porting and cam listed.

I have Brodix BR7 castings. They were ran for a long time box stock. Made over 600whp with a few different camshafts on a stock bottom end LS7 and no mill. They were sent to LME to get ported and milled down to 62cc. An aggressive cam, hi ram, 2" headers, e85 it made 680whp.

I just sent them to WCCH to get milled even further to bring the compression ratio over 13:1. I also bought a ShrearFab lid to go with the Hi Ram base. I will be using a 108mm DBW throttle body.

The Hi Ram is very hard to find right now. I've called everywhere and they are all showing June as a delivery date. Hoping to come across someone selling one.
