FYI, I will be listing this engine for sale from intake to pan soon and will post in the for sale forum. Going to dyno it beforehand and will share results. Price will be 18,500 intake to pan, no injectors or carb, other wise complete with a build/spec sheet if anyone is interested.
How much power you think you gave up with the 5.3 block over something with better bay-to-bay breathing? 15-20hp?
I would think a vacuum pump set up would be worth 8-15hp on this engine. Last time I ran one with it and removed the belt I saw 10hp, that was on a 7300 RPM 4" stroker. Results will vary Most of these shelf deals have 10-12# oil rings.
