Default LC9 crank and rods in a LY6 block

Hello all i have been searching for an affordable LY6 to put in my 08 Avalanche because i tow my dragbike enclosed trailer and boat a lot and wanted the added torque of the 6.0 .They are proving to be difficult to find under 2500 dollars. and then they have 200+ thousand miles on them I have the LC9 i pulled (lifter and oil pressure problems) i do have a very nice LC9 crank and rods but then decided to go with the 6.0. I was going to just get a LY6 block which are affordable and new and go from there i know i will need new pistons but since the crank and rods are identical stroke and size is there any reason i cant use them ?? My plan is to use the 243 heads and intake from the LC9 and use a texas speed stage 1 truck cam 208/214, .550/.550, 112 LSA . which i already have . Also should i get the stock dished pistons or flat tops because i know the 243 heads will raise compression. This is going to be a daily driver just looking for more torque Thanks for any info .

If you merely want torque, I’d chose a different head. Something like a 706 (IIRC). Something with small ports will have better bottom end torque. Look into Richard Holdener on YouTube. He has a lot of videos showcasing torque combinations.

BTW, I paid $1400 for my 30k mile LY6. The deals are out there, you just have to know where to look
