any one had dropping valve failure again after LS7 heads fixed?

True. I had a set of GM LS7 castings that had the pedestals (stands) machined down to work with a set of Crower shaft rockers. It was a huge improvement in rigidity over the OEM setup because it tied all the pedestals together.

Comparing the LS7's to the Brodix heads you'll notice there's a whole lot more aluminum "quality aluminum" for the shaft mounted system to sit on too.

I know I've posted this before, but for those who haven't seen it.....
About 9 years ago, I saw an LS7 with OEM LS7 heads that had one head broken in half!! The owner was roadracing it in a C6Z. It ran a single shaft almost the length of the head, for all the rockers. The engine builder was convinced something in the harmonics at high rpm caused it. He was also convinced it would never happen in a street/strip car, because this engine spent most of its life between 7,000-8,000 rpm. He theorized that the single shaft had merely exposed the next weak link, the casting itself. So, in my humble opinion, the aftermarket heads are definitely superior. Again, FWIW.....

Another big difference between Brodix and GM pedestals is the longer, more unsupported GM mount, vs. the barely above the casting fulcrum mounts of the Brodix. Think breaker bar leverage vs. the ratchet for leverage. The farther away this mount is from the head itself, the more leverage the rocker arm has to force it back and forth. This is one area that was probably OK with stock, beehive springs. Increase spring rate 100lbs, or more, then maybe not so much....
