Generation IV Internal Engine 2005-2014 LS2 | LS3 | LS7 | L92 | LS9

Anyone identify this engine short block specs and adding 243 cathedral heads

Default Anyone identify this engine short block specs and adding 243 cathedral heads

Bought a gen 4 6.0 short block. Says IV and 6.0 on the back passenger side like they do. Also stamped is the number 12672881 but I can’t find what family it belongs to. Didn’t come with a valley cover but I see the dod points do not have holes nor have they been plugged so dod afm was not an option on this engine. Cam sensor is on the front timing cover to also confirm it as gen IV. Cast iron block.
also I have a set of built 243 heads I plan to use for it. I see these are bolt on but I need to use the bolts that are all the same length rather than the ones that have two shorter bolts that go on the ends of the heads. I assume I get the dod delete cover plate even though I’m not deleting as it was never there. Anything else I need to know combining gen 3 heads to this gen 4 block? I am putting in ls7 lifters. I assume with this combo I’ll be running stock push rod lengths. Running a truck Norris cam and springs with upgraded stock rockers.

What do you mean what family it's from? like LQ, LM, etc?

As far as the head bolts, take a screw driver or wooden dowel rod and see if the headbolt holes are the same depth

Yeah I was just hoping to find what gen IV 6.0 I actually have. I’m uncertain what valley cover I should be looking for since it doesn’t have the dod/afm option. It looks like all the gen iv valley covers have an o ring dod delete. Head to block holes are all the same depth which makes sense being gen iv. Ordered some head studs. This is my first gen iv block build and I assume I need the valley cover with the oil sensor but some of them don’t have it and I guess it doesn’t matter that it’s an afm delete.
