Default Dod pump vs melling 10295

Pretty noticeable difference with the 10295 melling vs the 12571896 pump.

10295 pump gerotor gear thickness

Dod pump

From left to right I believe its the factory dod spring.
Red came with the 10295

Blue came with the 10295 to lower pressure

Last one on the right came out of a stock ls2 pump Not sure which one to install think im goimg to go back with the spring that came out of it.

Red spring.
If in doubt, bet on RED.

You are missing the Yellow COPO spring. They come w/ the new 10295's.

yeah it's stuck in the melling 10295....part of the reason the old 6.2 would see 120 psi of cold oil pressure at times

Why is the copo spring so high? Isn’t that much pressure just wasted energy? I’m not a huge fan of giant oil pressure for the sake of burying the needle.
