Default Pushrod length help

Does this sound correct?
ls3 block decked
tfs milled .060
tsp cam .625 lift
Felpro .041 head gasket
Morel 5290 lifters
Stock rockers
Started with 7.350 pushrod
Cam on base circle
1 full turn on intake
7/8 turn on exhaust
I then used my pushrod length checker and was getting 9.75 turns for zero lash. Comes out to...
to 9.75 turns = .4875 + 6.8 total of 7.2875
then add lifter preload of say .040-.050
put me at a total length of 7.327 to 7.337
Should I go with 7.325 or stay with 7.350??

I personally like to set up my hydraulic builds at the deeper end of the preload spectrum. It makes for a quieter lifter in my experience. Also remember your dealing with aluminum block/heads here, so thermal expansion of .010 is normal at temp…which adds to the value of setting up preload at the deepest side of recommended preload.

I think these lifters have .140 travel on the plunger. Looks like the recommended preload of .050 + .010 for heat expansion and 7.287= 7.347
7.350 sounds right then unless your talking about running more preload than .050??

I Milled my 823 heads .050 with the same .041 felpro gaskets. I ended up with 7.375 on intake and 7.350 on exhaust. I think your in the ballpark depending on lifter preload . I was shooting for .075 preload.

Just keep in mind, if you order off the shelf, they are most likely going to be .012"-.015" longer than what they are advertised as. If you need the exact length or close to it, I suggest ordering from Manton. This last set I got from them was within .003".
