Ok, I have a 1996 Tahoe 4WD, 2 door with the 5,7 vortec & 4L60. I have a 5.3 LS from a 2009 truck. Since I recently rebuilt my 1996 4L60 & tcase, I would like to run it with the 2009 5.3 gen IV stock engine. Some say you cannot run the LS engines with a 1996 4L60 But I have talked to several custom LS wiring harness makers/ecm tuners that say they Can make me a harness & ecm tune to run my current transmission. So who is correct, this combo will or will not work?
