If a piston has a length of 2.179 and CD of 1.115 like the Wiseco K394X05 for instance, is it coming out of the cylinder at BDC 0.764" in a 4" stroke setup?
Say the sleeve length of the machined block is 5.415
5.415 - 4.00 stroke = 1.415
2.179 - 1.415 = 0.764"
A diamond piston 11521-R1 for example I'm told has a 2.590 total piston length and a CD of 1.115
2.590 - 1.415 = 1.175"
I realize that what really matters is the largest diameter of the skirt staying in the bore at BDC, I just want to know if my calculations above are correct?
