Well im trying to do research for my cam selection but most of the threads ive been looking at dont have relevant information for my application. I have a 1988c1500 that weighs about 4000lbs, has 3.73 rear gears and 30 inch tires. The l92 is going to be paired witb a t56 and given that i want a cam that offers responsiveness when needed in the lower to mid rpm range.
I see a lot of cams make peak power around 5k+.
I personally dont want to be flooring it everytime i want to get power to the pavement. Does anyone with a similar set up to mine have a cam suggestion?
i want to keep the l92s VVT and upgrade the springs.

I've done couple of LS swaps with L92's dressed to look like a LS3. 73 Camaro and 80 Camaro.
I used the same cam on both. Texas Speed. 220I/225E .600 lift 114 C/L. They have a bit of a lope but have enough vacuum for power brakes.
I did delete the VVT on both swaps.
The other thing to consider is your tire diameter and rear end gearing. On my 68 C10 LS6/T56 small cam swap I ran 4:10 gears. 20" wheels. Rear tires were 285/40. Plenty of low end torque with the T56 and 4:10's.
