Default Adding Oil to Engine

I have the coils inside the two piece valve covers on my 2008 6.0L LY6 engine. They require you to take the top cover off and unplug the plug wires in order to get to the screw on cap inside in order to add oil.
My question is, can I install a bung and screw on cap into rear area of my valley cover in order to add oil to the engine? Seems to me that I should be able to add oil into the cam/lifter area of the engine without any problems.
Does anyone see a problem with this idea that I do not see? Common sense tells me that oil added this way should filter down thru the block into the oil pan
Thank you in advance for you constructive input!

Shouldn't be an issue. The oil will drain straight to the pan thru the cast in holes around the cam.
